DAY 1: AUGUST 5th
Jake Duran - 1:00 PM
Jake Duran is an indie/punk singer-songwriter and guitarist from Winchester, VA. He spends most of his time in a medical laboratory but loves writing and performing music in his free time. His set at SGCS Vol. III followed a story about falling for your first love, breaking up, feeling down and reflecting, finding yourself and moving on, then finally putting yourself out there only to discover your soulmate. Each song represented a different stage of growing. Jake believes that "music has a universal quality of relatability that helps us understand ourselves and others" and that "understanding ourselves is how we learn to love who we are. Writing music allows me to look introspectively and create stories that can hopefully help others."
Sherwood - 1:30 PM
Sherwood is a newly-formed grunge band from Winchester, VA comprised of Dave Kopp, Findlay Owens, Chase O'Keefe, and Nik Beans. They play all things "gritty" and had already begun writing original music before SGCS Vol. III. They hope to perform more in the future and wanted to use SGCS as an opportunity to get their name circulating in the Winchester music scene.
Parial - 2:00 PM
Parial is a jazz/folk duo from Winchester, VA comprised of Claudia Largent and Elliot Eyre. Before the band officially formed, Claudia and Elliot had been writing and performing songs together for quite some time, even competing in the local "Apple Blossom's Got Talent" competition in 2019, where they took home 3rd place. Parial's set included some original music, some of which the duo hopes to record and release online in the future.
Leeric - 3:00 PM
Leeric is an indie/pop comedic duo from Blacksburg, VA comprised of boss babe bombshell vocalists Leeanna Duong and Eric Thomas. Leeanna and Eric met in a failed arranged marriage and bonded over their mutual passion for music. After graduating at the top of their class from Juilliard, they had a smashing world tour and went on to sweep every category at the Grammys in 2020. Leeric's music will not only make you dance but also laugh, cry, and even fall in love. Although they have released many original masterpieces online, do not look them up because for some weird reason they will not show up. Just trust that they are really good and talented. As a trade-off, they sold friendship bracelets at the concert.
Skies Over Saturn - 3:30 PM
Skies Over Saturn is a progressive rock band from Winchester, VA comprised of Jeremy Owens, Teagan Hershberger, and Bryan Charles. The band formed in late 2021 and has been gigging [not so] regularly throughout the Winchester/Frederick County area ever since, having as much fun as possible. They wished their bassist, Teagan, good luck on his nationwide tour with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps in Summer 2022 and welcomed his short-term substitute, Elliot Eyre (of Parial and EYRE) to the lineup for SGCS Vol. III.

Chronophobia had a rather busy, gig-heavy Summer 2022 after the release of their debut cover album, "Legacies" on Spotify and YouTube Music. They are working towards releasing some original songs within the year. You can learn more about them and listen to their music here.
